Introduction
Data Relocate (“Data Relocate”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a cloud relocation platform. Customers use it to move content (files and folders), email, and chat between cloud services such as Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, SharePoint, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and other supported connectors.
This Privacy Policy covers how we handle information when you browse our marketing site, register for an account, submit a contact or partner form, purchase services, or run relocation jobs in the product. It applies to website visitors, account holders, and administrators acting for their organization.
If you do not agree with this policy, do not use Data Relocate or send us personal information. Continuing to use the site or product means you understand how we process data as described here.
In short: We use personal details to run accounts, support, and the relocation product. We do not sell that information. Cloud content you migrate is processed to complete your job; we do not keep it as a long-term content archive beyond what operation, troubleshooting, and audit require.

Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with Data Relocate, we may collect account and form data you submit, technical data from your browser or the product, and cloud data required to execute a relocation you start.
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account details — name, work email, organization name, and login credentials when you sign up.
- Forms — contact, quote, and partner requests (name, email, company, and message content).
- Billing — payment details handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on Data Relocate servers.
- Support traffic — emails or tickets you send about a job, invoice, or product question.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Product and site usage — pages viewed, features used, approximate session length, and navigation paths.
- Device signals — IP address, browser type, operating system, and similar identifiers.
- Operational logs — timestamps, API call outcomes, and error events used to keep the platform stable and secure.
2.3 Relocation Job Data
When you authorize a relocation, Data Relocate connects to your source and destination clouds through official APIs (typically OAuth). Depending on the job type, that can include file and folder metadata, versions and permissions, mailbox items, or chat messages and attachments needed for the transfer. That material is:
- Used to copy or sync data into the destination you configured
- Protected in transit with TLS between clients, our platform, and cloud APIs
- Not stored as a permanent library of your files, mail, or chat after the job’s operational window
We may keep job metadata — such as job ID, status, timestamps, and item counts — for support and audit. See Data Retention.
03
How We Use Your Information
- Run the product — accounts, connectors, relocation jobs, Admin Console, and customer support.
- Answer inbound requests — website contact, partner interest, and sales or trial questions.
- Improve reliability — diagnose failures, tune performance, and prioritize product work.
- Protect the service — reduce abuse, unauthorized access, and fraud.
- Meet legal duties — keep records where the law requires and respond to valid legal process.
- Optional updates — product news when you have opted in; you can unsubscribe anytime.
Our website and core services are hosted primarily in the United States. If you use Data Relocate from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. or in other locations where our infrastructure or subprocessors operate, consistent with this policy.
04
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share it only when needed to operate Data Relocate or when the law requires it:
Vendors We Use
Hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics providers that process data under our instructions and contractual limits.
Legal Demands
Disclosure when required by law, regulation, or court order, or to protect Data Relocate, our customers, or the public from harm.
If we merge, are acquired, or sell assets, customer information may transfer as part of that deal. We will notify you if a new owner applies a materially different privacy policy. We may also share data when you give clear prior consent.
05
Data Retention
- Account data — held while the account is open and for a short period after closure, unless law requires longer.
- Job metadata — status, counts, and similar records kept for support and audit for a defined period after the job ends.
- Migrated content — processed to move between your clouds; not kept as a lasting archive of your files, mail, or chat.
- Usage metrics — kept in identifiable or aggregated form as needed to improve the service, then removed or anonymized.
- Support and sales records — kept as needed to close tickets and maintain ordinary business records.
When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymize the data using reasonable technical steps.
06
Data Security
Relocation work depends on trust. We use standard industry controls to reduce unauthorized access, change, or loss of information.
Encrypted in Transit
Connections between browsers, Data Relocate, and cloud APIs use TLS.
Limited Internal Access
Staff access to customer environments is restricted to people who need it for support or operations.
Official Cloud APIs
Connectors use provider OAuth/API flows. We do not ask you to store cloud passwords inside Data Relocate.
No online service is perfectly secure. If you suspect a security issue involving Data Relocate, contact us right away using the details in Contact Us.
07
Cookies & Tracking
Our marketing site and product may set cookies or similar tools so pages load correctly, preferences stick, and we can understand traffic (including analytics or ads tools when they are configured).
- Essential — needed for login sessions and basic site function.
- Analytics — help us see which pages work; we anonymize where practical.
- Preferences — remember choices such as display settings.
You can block non-essential cookies in your browser or through any consent banner we show. Some features may not work if cookies are disabled.
08

Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when our product, vendors, or legal obligations change. Material updates will bump the “Updated” date above and, when appropriate, we will email registered users or show an in-product notice.
Using Data Relocate after a revised policy takes effect means you accept the new terms. Check this page from time to time.
